This can be called up either by clicking on the icon or via the menu <Setup>, <Setup Default Settings>. Select the file tab Configuration. The programming parameters are provided with default values. If this default is to be changed or the setting is to be checked, then this section is of importance.

·      Activate Multiturn Number of Revolutions

·      Enter 5 in the data field

·      Set the minimum bit length on the SSI output to 16 bit

In this mode the encoder works as a Multiturn. The Singleturn resolution is 8192 steps and the number of revolutions is limited to 5.

The calculated scale factor is 1.00000

Total measuring range 40960

Setting the outputs:

The positions, where the encoder sends an internal ‘reached’ signal, can be set here. The upper and lower values entered must be within the valid range of values. Exceeding the upper or lower limit is signalled with the help of an output (output functions A1-A4)

Example:  upper limit switch value 30000

lower limit switch value 10

Output A1 is active => 300000

Output A2 is active =< 10

do not forget to enable the outputs in the column on the right

Clicking on the <Accept Values> button results in the changed data being taken over into the memory, so that all the subsequent parameters may be updated. The window is n o t closed.

The <OK> button has the same function as <Accept Values>, but in addition the window is closed.
